What happens to something that’s never allowed to rest? Luqi Lukman’s practice grows out of accumulating and repeating gestures, but instead of letting something settle, he keeps revisiting it, allowing it to take on new forms and functions. Material is never settled, only reshaped, returned to, and folded into what comes next.

Once, twice, and again; each return becoming part of an ongoing process, never quite arriving at an end.
