Evi Pangestu
(Jakarta, 1992)
Evi Pangestu (b.1992, Indonesia) is a painter who investigates rebellion and control within the parameter of convention. Evi started her formal training in painting in 2011 at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta then continued to finish her degree in Birmingham School of Art, UK. In 2019, she obtained an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art, London. Evi is currently based in Oakland and Jakarta.
